Wellington School Pupils Heads for Royal International Horse Show
14 Aug 2019
One of the youngest members of Wellington School’s Equestrian team has made her dream come true and qualified for the prestigious Royal International Horse Show.
Grace Gendall, who is in Year 5 travelled to Essex during the Easter holidays with her pony Pantmanr Just-So and secured her qualification place with a win in the Pretty Polly Heritage First Ridden class. Riding against children several years older than her, Grace and her pony put in a foot perfect show to impress the judge and finish ten marks clear of the second placed pony.
The judge, Mrs James, commented that “her winner was a traditional and true to type Dartmoor and one that she would put her Grand-daughter on.”
Grace will now travel to Hickstead to compete in the grand final but first she has a busy few weeks with the National Winter Championships and the Royal Windsor Horse Show
