The Old Hall School – Double Tennis Victory
06 Jul 2016
In the Malvern tournament Poppy and Bryony took the victory in emphatic style, not losing a match along the way. Jessica and Amy were very competitive and played well together but unfortunately did not make it out of the group stages. Thomas, Adithya, Fergus and Tristan all represented The Old Hall School with pride and were also very competitive.
In the Repton tournament Poppy and Bryony played extremely well throughout the day. They won all their matches to compete in a very tricky final, fighting back from 3-1 down to win the match and retain the trophy for back to back victories.
Amy and Jessica made a huge improvement learning from their time at Malvern and started well by beating Birchfield A. They competed well and represented the school with pride.
The Under 11 boys’ teams also competed really well. Fergus and Tristan were unlucky not to qualify for the semi-finals with three wins and two losses. Thomas and Adithya had plenty of nail-biting games which saw them come out second best.
The Repton tennis tournament is one of the biggest schools tournaments with over 900 games being played throughout the day on 20 courts.
Well done to all the players.
