TASIS – Students Join Together for the Good of Others

Every school year, upper school students have the opportunity to join the clubs and after-school activities of their choice. Participation in these clubs encourages leadership and responsibility, while raising money for and awareness of important causes.

Mackenzie ’17, a TASIS Leadership Academy Ambassador and founder and president of the TASIS England Global Issues Network, organized the recent fair. New and returning students had the opportunity to learn more about activities on campus, and to get involved in the student-run clubs, based on their interests, passions, and hobbies.

There are currently 23 clubs on campus that focus on a wide range of interests, from the environment,
to interacting with the Thorpe community, to learning and performing magic. Any student can initiate their own club, and the Activities Fair gives Club Officers the opportunity to market and advertise to potential new participants.

The clubs that took part in this fair included:

Global Issues Network, Investment Club, Aiding India, Footsteps, Business Club, Math and Science Peer to Peer, Milele, Magic Club, The NO Project, Romanian Children’s Relief, Environmental Club, Orbit, TASIS World Issues Society, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Thorpe Community Link, International Club, Video Production, and Hope & Homes.
