Surbiton High School wins at Borough Cross-Country

Richmond Park Tuesday 12th November – wins in every age group and two individual Borough Champions!
Another successful year for our cross-country runners, who travelled to Richmond Park to take part in the annual races from Year 7 to 13, this year organised by Chessington Community College.
Surbiton High School athletes were victorious in every age group and this year for the first time fielded a winning senior team of Surrey athlete Phoebe Law 1st, Isabella Burdess 4th, Imogen Cummings 6th and Marlie Carter-Edwards 9th. The first race covering 2k was Year 7, who set off fast and furious, Scarlett Sinclair had a storming run to come home in 1st place, closely followed by Holly Walder taking 3rd, Kung Phimlee 9th and Alice Klugman in 11th to make up the winning scoring team! Annabel Sharp was 14th, Ellie Godwin 16th, Caitlin Ball 23rd, Louisa Graham 24th, Nina Wilson 25th, Deli Weeks 39th, Mia Buckley 49th and Sophia Lobb 63rd.
Year 8 and 9’s were next to race 2.5k. Maia Dunleavy had a great run coming 4th followed by Amy Starrett 8th, Lauren Semple 9th and Scarlett Walker 10th, who made up another winning scoring team! Caitlin Starrett came 17th, Katie Etherington 18th, Helene Davis 20th, Tiggy Tymens 21st, Rose Olsen 30th, Emma Hall 32nd, Amelia Howe 33rd and Maddie Disney 41st.
In the Year 10 and 11 age groups Thea Cummings had a fantastic run to take 2nd, Emma Stanley was 4th, Caitlin Cahill 5th and Chloe Yuen 6th made up the winning scoring team. Amelia McLay was 11th and Jenny Horan 12th.
