Surbiton High School wins at Borough Cross-Country

Richmond Park Tuesday 12th November – wins in every age group and two individual Borough Champions!

Another successful year for our cross-country runners, who travelled to Richmond Park to take part in the annual races from Year 7 to 13, this year organised by Chessington Community College.

Surbiton High School athletes were victorious in every age group and this year for the first time fielded a winning senior team of Surrey athlete Phoebe Law 1^st, Isabella Burdess 4^th, Imogen Cummings 6^th and Marlie Carter-Edwards 9^th.  The first race covering 2k was Year 7, who set off fast and furious, Scarlett Sinclair had a storming run to come home in 1^st place, closely followed by Holly Walder taking 3^rd, Kung Phimlee 9^th and Alice Klugman in 11^th to make up the winning scoring team! Annabel Sharp was 14^th, Ellie Godwin 16^th, Caitlin Ball 23^rd, Louisa Graham 24^th, Nina Wilson 25^th, Deli Weeks 39^th, Mia Buckley 49^th and Sophia Lobb 63^rd.

Year 8 and 9’s were next to race 2.5k. Maia Dunleavy had a great run coming 4^th followed by Amy Starrett 8^th, Lauren Semple 9^th and Scarlett Walker 10^th, who made up another winning scoring team! Caitlin Starrett came 17^th, Katie Etherington 18^th, Helene Davis 20^th, Tiggy Tymens 21^st, Rose Olsen 30^th, Emma Hall 32^nd, Amelia Howe 33^rd and Maddie Disney 41^st.

In the Year 10 and 11 age groups Thea Cummings had a fantastic run to take 2^nd, Emma Stanley was 4^th, Caitlin Cahill 5^th and Chloe Yuen 6^th made up the winning scoring team. Amelia McLay was  11^th and Jenny Horan 12^th.
