Staines Prep Shortlisted for Prestigious Independent Schools Award

Pride filled the corridors and classrooms at Staines Prep last week as it was announced the school has been shortlisted for the prestigious national Independent Schools Award 2014, in the Outstanding Financial/Commercial Initiative category.

Now in its fifth year, the annual awards recognise and celebrate excellence in the strategic and financial management of independent schools throughout the UK.  Just to be shortlisted demonstrates a high level of success.  The awards are decided upon by an independent panel of judges, all highly respected for their expertise and experience in the independent school sector.

As one of only three nominees within the group, Staines Prep’s application showcased the School’s impressive new state-of-the-art FoundersBuilding project, in a category which recognises initiatives in financial planning, investments, property planning, commercial enterprise, fees strategy and raising bursaries.

Headmistress Ms Sawyer said: “This is fantastic news and a real credit to everyone who participates in school life.  It is an achievement and a tremendous triumph to be nominated, especially considering the hundreds of outstanding independent schools who have applied throughout the UK.”

The winners will be announced at an awards presentation evening on Thursday 13 November at the Nottingham Belfry Hotel.
