Staines ‘Prep’ for the Festive Season

28 Nov 2014

Button up those winter woollies, gather friends and family and head over to Staines Prep this Saturday 29 November, from 12.30pm to 3.30pm, as the school opens its gates and warmly welcomes all to its annual Christmas Fayre extravaganza.

On arrival, guests will be treated to a sprinkling of seasonal magic with a selection of well-loved, traditional Yuletide songs performed by the Staines Prep Singers.

Then indulge in a spot of early Christmas shopping.  The school is set to be awash with an array of beautiful homemade and original gifts, showcasing more than 20 talented, local, independent craftsmen.  Visitors can meander through stalls of exquisitely crafted jewellery, fine beautifully designed scarves, traditional and modern Christmas decorations, luxury candles, books, cards and more.

Whilst mums and dads mingle with friends over a glass or two of warm tasty mulled wine and feast on delicious hot and cold treats, children can revel in seasonal merriment.  With a whole sleigh load of traditional games and activities, they will be kept busy throughout the afternoon.

Father Christmas will of course be flying in and taking up residence in a spectacular grotto, handing out little gifts to all good children before he rushes back off to prepare for the big day!

Entry is free for children and £1 for adults.  Booking to see Santa Claus is advisable please email thefriends@stainesprep.co.uk for details.
