Facilities
North Bridge House Senior School & Sixth Form Canonbury is the first independent senior school in the area and serves both the local community and international students. Starting at Year 7, students can complete their A-Levels in the stunning Grade II listed building, which provides an inspirational and historical environment for the school’s modern facilities and distinctive educational philosophy.
Surrounded by leafy landscaped gardens, North Bridge House Canonbury has spacious, well-equipped classrooms and a large central Learning Resource Room, stocked with laptops and furnished with a grand piano. Students’ ‘excellent progress’ (Independent Schools Inspectorate, 2023) is facilitated by three Science laboratories as well as specialist teaching rooms for Art, Music, Computing, and Media. In addition, the striking King Edward’s Hall is used for a variety of Drama performances, assemblies, concerts and events, whilst the iMac suite allows students to use film and graphic design within creative projects.
Given the school’s prime location, students enjoy many sports at a range of nearby professional facilities. From Rounders and Tennis at Highbury Fields to sailing at West Reservoir and climbing at the Castle Climbing Centre, the school provides an exciting and well-planned enrichment programme to complement the innovative and academically rigorous curriculum.
