The Sixth Form Centre provides dedicated spaces for study and relaxation, including an ICT suite, reference and resource areas, and recreational facilities.
In terms of sport, we offer a comprehensive range of activities, with rugby, hockey, netball, tennis, and cricket as the main focus. Additionally, pupils can engage in squash, badminton, golf, cross-country running, athletics, swimming, cycling, and canoeing, with school teams across all these sports. Our facilities include a full-sized and a third-sized floodlit Astroturf pitch, a Sports Centre with a climbing wall, three badminton courts, two squash courts, and a basketball court, as well as a 25m indoor swimming pool. There are also tennis courts, rugby, football, and cricket pitches, and a cross-country course. For further details on our sporting provision, visit Sports at LWC.
In addition to sports, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme flourishes as does the Combined Cadet Force and an active Community Service group. Pupils can also participate in a wide range of other activities, including pottery, lifesaving, rock climbing, and debating.
English as an Additional Language (EAL)
For pupils whose first language is not English, we offer tailored support to ensure they are fully integrated into the academic and social life of the College. Our experienced EAL staff provide individualised teaching in a supportive environment, celebrating diversity and helping students improve their language skills while achieving their academic goals.
