Bromsgrove Nursery and Pre-Preparatory School
Bromsgrove Nursery and Pre-Preparatory School is a place where children have a memorable and positive start to their educational journey. We believe it is the early years, from the ages of three to seven, when the educational foundations are laid for everything that follows.
Great importance is placed on the development of the basic skills of reading, writing and mathematics whilst also encouraging self-expression through artistic, practical and ceative subjects.

Facilities
We have an Assembly and sports hall, dining hall, extensive grounds with a ‘nature walk’ and a new, purpose built all weather outdoor play lawn, outside theatre and Forest classroom. There are ICT facilities in all classrooms.
The Nursery provides a safe, secure, happy and stimulating environment and is set in its own building, within the grounds of the Pre-Preparatory School.
Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are based in the main part of the old house, where the modern facilities sit alongside sympathetically restored period features of the original stately home.
During term time, Aftercare is available every day of the week, from 3.15pm – 6pm.
Entrance Requirements
Non-selective
Prior to entry, children are invited to spend a morning in school with their prospective year group, during which informal assessments will take place. Children seeking admission into Year 2 will also be assessed more formally in Mathematics and English. This trial morning provides an opportunity for the children to experience life at Bromsgrove Pre-Preparatory and Pre-School and to get to know the children in their future class. If a child is moving from another school they will be asked to bring examples of their current work in Mathematics, English and Reading. We will also contact the child’s school for a written report about their academic achievements and behaviour.
Nursery
Children may join the Nursery when they turn two. Children are required to attend a minimum of three days per week to ensure they have access to the full range of the curriculum provided.
Pre-Prep
Children join the Reception class of the Pre-Preparatory section in the September following their fourth birthday.
