Homefield Trio Pay Homage to Local Firemen

26 Jul 2017

It is no secret that the recent tragic events at Grenfell Tower have brought the remarkable bravery and selflessness of firemen into the limelight. However, these are qualities that firemen up and down the country show every single day. Three boys from 2H took the short trip to Sutton Fire Station this week with Miss Choudhury to show their appreciation to the local heroes.

Rayyan, Musa and Humzah were the lucky three who were afforded the opportunity to visit. The boys were a credit to their school in showing their gratitude for the immense bravery our fire-fighters display every day. Indeed, as a token of their appreciation, the boys had raised money to organise a luxury hamper with an assortment of treats for the firemen to enjoy.

It was a memorable trip for all of the boys as they were able to get up close and personal with a variety of the firemen’s equipment and even go inside a real fire engine. A big thank you must go to all of the Sutton firemen, who were fantastic, delightedly taking the time to talk to the boys and show them around.
