Copthorne Prep School – What can you buy for 20p?

Today 20p does not buy a bar of chocolate, a packet of crisps or a can of drink, so what will it buy?  At Copthorne Prep School, the School Council took on the challenge of getting their classmates to donate 20 pence pieces as part of World Food Week when they discovered that a child in Africa could be fed for 20p!

Armed with red cups, they encouraged each class to contribute 20 pence pieces to pay for school meals to help end child hunger.  By the end of the week we were able to provide 2413 meals, having raised £482.70.
