SUPERB INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE RESULTS FOR BROMSGROVE SCHOOL

01 Sep 2014

Bromsgrove School is delighted to announce superb International Baccalaureate results this year with an average of 37.1 points which will secure its position as one of Britain’s top IB Schools.

The average IB student at Bromsgrove gained 560 UCAS points, nominally equivalent to A*A*A*A* at A Level. Pupils exceeded predictions in virtually every subject and at every level. A quarter of the entry scored at least 40 points and four achieved 44. This reflects superbly well not just on the students themselves but also on all those involved in delivering IB courses, monitoring and supporting pupil progress.

Local student Jagraj Bhandal was one of those who scored 44 having previously also achieved A* in both Maths and Further Maths A Levels and an A in AS Physics.

Another local pupil, Sam Adamson, has successfully secured his place to read Archaeology and Social Anthropology at Oxford.

In addition to these superb IB results, 20 Upper Sixth pupils secured 43 Starred Distinctions and 6 Distinctions in the BTEC qualification.
