Bromsgrove Pupils are Santa’s Little Helpers

27 Nov 2014

Pupils aged 2 to 18 have been busy working together as part of Operation Christmas Child (OCC) this month. Students at Bromsgrove School got involved with Samaritans Purse, who organise OCC each year, by filling and wrapping shoe boxes to send to other children less fortunate than themselves.

Over the last few months over 160 boxes have been collected across the Pre-Prep and Senior Schools, carefully packed with donations of toys, school supplies, basic clothing and hygiene items. Helpers from Samaritan’s Purse have now collected the boxes ready to deliver them all around the world in time for Christmas.

Rachel Ivison, from Bromsgrove Pre-Prep says, “The children at Bromsgrove Pre-Prep are very excited at the prospect of sharing the joy of Christmas with other children from different parts of the world. Pupils from the three Reception classes had great fun helping to load their boxes onto the van. We wish to thank all of the children and families who took part.”

The Senior School also enjoyed a visit from the charity, with over 80 boxes collected at the Worcester Road School last Tuesday, 18th November.
